Five ft is just the beginning
Top films of 2011

I didn’t keep a very good log of films I saw this year, but I will try my best to recall the films I saw and how they were important to the year.

  1.  A Single Man - I saw this film and thought it was brilliant. I spent a lot of the next day writing about it and how it was just great. My parents thought it was crap, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  2. Due Date- I saw this one in the theaters and immediately after leaving I said to my friend “I need that on DVD”. I got it on DVD, despite the snow and ice, and enjoyed it many other times.
  3. When Harry Met Sally - I watched this one on Netflix with D, IM-ing while we were watching. It is great, and I always seem to catch it on tv from time to time, always missing the beginning and staying through to the end.
  4. Annie Hall - I watched this with D and quickly forgot about the black and white. It was a great little film and I was glad we could share that time and film together.
  5. Larry Crowne - So great. It was a film about an average person and I just latched on to it. It was awesome, will so watch it again.
  6. It’s Kind of a Funny Story - I wasn’t sure about it in the beginning but I really liked it. It was relatable and enjoyable. It led me to read the book which I also really enjoyed.
  7. Misery -  I enjoyed the book and loved the film. It was the same but different from the original work, and led me to practically yell at the tv for him to watch out.
